Hieroglyphic Canyon Trail (12.4.10)

This past Saturday, Sean, Brian and I went to hike Hieroglyphic Canyon Trail, in Gold Canyon.  The hike was about two miles each way, and while moderately strenuous, it was worth it. After the two miles, we came to a clearing, with huge boulders strewn about, many of which were decorated with hieroglyphs. The designs were primarily of animals, and we spent quite some time in this clearing just sitting and chatting, while lots of little ground squirrels ventured close to take pita bread we had thrown out to them. After a while our stomachs started to grumble, so we headed back down the trail and decided to get lunch at Liberty Market, in Gilbert. This adventure ended up being far less time consuming than they typically are, but it was every bit as excellent as usual, and far more physically demanding! Another great success. 🙂
